IN LOVING MEMORY OF ESTHER COLLEEN HANEY Esther Colleen Haney died January 29th, 2001 at her home in North Platte. She was born February 25, 1965 in North Platte to Darrel Robert and Esther Colleen Babcock Haney. She graduated from North Platte High School in 1983 and then attended Mid Plains Community College for three years. Miss Haney owned Chy Ceramic Studio for five years before becoming a waitress at the Depot Cafe for four years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in North Platte. Survivors include four sisters, Carol Ingalls of Houston, Pat (Phil) Fenton of Glendale, AZ, Connie (Rick) Rush of Lees Summit, MO, and Trudy (Tim) McFadden of Gothenburg; three brothers, Mike and Wes Haney, both of North Platte, and Joe (Laura) Haney of Denver; a grandmother, Lois Hadley of North Platte; 11 nieces and nephews; and two great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Alfonso Paul Haney; and a nephew, Shaun Haney. FROM ESTHER’S FAMILY: Esther collected clowns. She loved to sew and create things. She was very good with crafts. She loved her nieces and nephews and let them do things their parents would never allow (isn’t that what aunts are for? :-) She loved to spend time with her family. Esther made a decision with her life that most of us could not make – she was strong and trusted in God every step of the way. We all love her and miss her and think about her every day. She was a great person to have known.
