Julie C. Miller

Julie Christine Miller, 46, of Osceola, passed away May 24, 2011, at her home in Osceola. Julie was born April 1, 1965, to Arthur and JoAnne Anderson in North Platte. She attended North Platte school, graduating in 1983. Following high school she attended Mid-Plains College in North Platte and received her dental assistant degree. She then attended Kearney State College graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She continued her education at Wayne State College where she received her Masters in Education. Julie began her teaching career in Osceola in the fall of 1991. She taught Middle School P.E. and Math and was Middle School Volleyball coach. On Dec. 22, 1992, she was united in marriage to Russell Miller at First Christian Church in North Platte. Julie was very involved in her school and cared about her students. Julie opened her heart and her home to one of her students who found a loving home with Russ and Julie. Julie was passionate about Husker volleyball, volleyball, softball and golf and was a competitive athlete. She loved traveling and working in her flower garden. She was a member of Ryan Hill Country Club, Osceola Education Assn, NEA and NSEA, adult volleyball leagues, and Osceola Women's Bowling Association where she bowled on the "Bowling Belles" bowling team. Survivors include her husband, Russell, of Osceola; mother, JoAnne Anderson, of North Platte; the sunshine of their life, Kenny Bise, of the United States Air Force; one brother, Joe (Lyn) Anderson, of Brighton, Colo.; five nieces, Melissa and Michelle Anderson, Kasie Pheak and Taylor and Delaney Miller; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur; and infant sister, Stephanie Anderson.
