She graduated from North Platte High School in 1983 and then attended Mid Plains Community College for three years. Miss Haney owned Chy Ceramic Studio for five years before becoming a waitress at the Depot Cafe for four years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in North Platte. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Alfonso Paul Haney; and a nephew, Shaun Haney. FROM ESTHER’S FAMILY: Esther collected clowns. She loved to sew and create things. She was very good with crafts. She loved her nieces and nephews and let them do things their parents would never allow (isn’t that what aunts are for? :-) She loved to spend time with her family. Esther made a decision with her life that most of us could not make – she was strong and trusted in God every step of the way. We all love her and miss her and think about her every day. She was a great person to have known.
