LaNelle Carlson

LaNelle Diane Carlson, 44, Fargo, ND, went peacefully in the arms of her loving husband, Nicholas, to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 17, 2010. LaNelle fought courageously to live, enduring a seven year battle with gastroparesis. LaNelle Buker was born in Omaha, NE, on April 27, 1965. She grew up in the North Platte, NE area, with her parents, Glen and Marilyn (Roggensees) Buker. LaNelle attended grade school and graduated from high school in North Platte, NE. On August 18, 1984, she married Nicholas T. Carlson and in 2009, they celebrated their 25th anniversary. LaNelle lived for her children, Taylor, Noel, Alia and Cole. Together they enjoyed church, sports and scout activities. LaNelle was an active leader in the Sunday school programs, Bible studies, confirmation groups and choir activities at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND, with her family. She was also an adult leader in Boy Scout Troop 214 and Campfire USA in the FM area. She is survived her her husband, Nick; sons, Taylor and Cole; daughters, Noel and Alia; mother, Marilyn (Rodney) Swanson; brother, Gregg (Kahle) Buker; inlaws, Vaughn and Joanne Carlson, Dr. Mark (Linda) Carlson and Craig (Vicki) Carlson and seven nieces and nephews. LaNelle was preceded in death by her father, Glen and sister-in-law, Melanie Carlson.
